It really has started now - on Monday, fuelled with an alcohol enhanced lunch, I accosted my first prospective sitter on the streets (he's got this beret thing going on with a flower and a big 'tache). To my surprise and relief he was more than happy to be a subject. One slightly awkward photo session later and I've got the material for a portrait. I do this sketch as a starter and even though it's in pencil and I can rub it out or not show anyone I get nervous for some reason - maybe this is going to be something big? Who knows? Who cares? Here's the sketch:

It starts here. 9 months and counting.

I don't know what It is or whether It will be any good, but regardless It has started.

It might help if I had an image to post as well, but That will have to come later.
